Wing Chun is widely recognized as one of the fastest fighting styles in the world. It has a speed and directness of action that is difficult to match. Ideal for self defence or as a starting point for a further study of Martial Arts. Wing Chun is both challenging and rewarding and can be practiced anywhere. Wing Chun Kung Fu is a realistic self-defense system that can be used in a vast number of situations. This Style is not restricted by having rules for the sake of tradition or any impractical flashy movements. Through emphasizing correct posture and utilizing your opponent’s force, one can learn to utilize the body’s natural structural power as opposed to localized muscular power, the Wing Chun system teaches smaller students the skills to take on larger and stronger attackers. The Master Wong Wing Chun system is based on a traditional, logical, comprehensive set of principles and a modern, realistic approach to training and application in real life situations. It is the understanding of these principles that make the Master Wong Wing Chun System the most effective system of close quarter self defense and the door way to JKD Body Weapon.
Simplicity
The system is simple and uncomplicated. Based on good form and natural movements of the body and is easy to learn and to apply.
Directness
A Wing Chun strike travels along the centre-line which is the shortest distance between yourself and your opponent thus taking the most direct route to reach the target. Strikes are aimed at the vital areas along the centre line.
Economy of Movement
Wing Chun defends and attacks at the same time whilst using short, sharp movements to attack and defend which not only conserves energy but allows the student to fight even in enclosed spaces.
Intelligent use of brute strength
Wing Chun focuses on structure, leverage, redirection of force. Through these ideas students will be able to overcome severe force as they learn to align their structure and use the body’s natural mechanics as opposed to fighting force with force.
There are many benefits of Wing Chun the Master Wong Method of training focuses on good form and technique as the key to being affective in combat.
